Over the past several months, we have been working at updating our online training system to better serve the needs of the Emergency Management community.

The the final steps in the transition from our old system to our new system will start during the week of March 27th.  On Monday the 27th, access to create new accounts in the Moodle system will be closed.  Wednesday, full access to Moodle will end.

We know that this may cause some inconvenicence for those who are working at completeing the Basic Emergency Mangement  and Exercise Design coures.  We will be working to have those two courses available on our new system as soon a possible.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

AEMA's Training Team is pleased to announce that an updated presentation of Incident Command System I-100, Introduction to Incident Command System is now available.

Designed by the same team responsible for our recently introduced I-200, the new I-100 presentation is more interactive and engaging for the participant.  It reflects our goal of making our online learning experience more interesting for the participant, and more effective at communicating the information they need to be effective in their role in the management of emergency and disaster incidents.

Accessing the new course starts with creating an account in our learning management system.  Go to alberta.noverant.com and click on "New User".  Fill in the form, and in the field marked "Please note the training you are requesting" type in "AEMA ICS I-100"

As all new accounts are processed by us, please allow up to three business days for your account to be activated.

If you have completed ICS I-100 in the old system and need a certificate or you have a question, send a message to aema-training@gov.ab.ca
